Good experience, as this is the first time we have built it is difficult to judge. Towards the end of process was a little difficult to get in contact with aveling, calls were not always returned within 24hrs. Pre-start process was a little confusing – not all of the information was provided in the first instance which led to changes post pre-start costing us more money. A break down of options and costing provided before prestart eg cost of kitchen draws, hobless shower would be helpful to make decisions before pre-start.

_______ – Was amazing and is the reason why you won the business. 10 _______ – 8.5 – Was firm but fair. _______ – 10 _______ – 10 _______ – 7 _______ – 8 Wasn’t ideal shifting consultants / supervisors during the build, however understand the nature of staff turnover. Potential staff retention issues need to be addressed if you are losing good people.

DURING THE 1ST PART IN OUR PROCESS THE SALES MAN WAS EXCELLENT AND HAD GREAT COMMUNICATION WITH US. BEFORE THE PRESTART TOOK PLACE OUR SALES MAN LEFT YOUR COMPANY AND AVELING DID NOT ASSIGN A NEW CONSULTANT TO US AND THAT LEFT US DEALING DIRECTLY WITH THE PRESTART CONSULTANT FOR A LONG TIME. ALSO A MAJOR ERROR AROSE AND WE WERE NOT ADVISED FOR OVER A WEEK WHEN WE WHERE ABOUT TO GO ON A 3 WEEK HOLIDAY. AT THE TIME THE PRESTART CONSULTANT WAS TRYING TO BLAME OUR ORIGINAL SALES REP WHEN WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED A NEW CONSULTANT LONG BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, THIS CAUSED US LOTS OF GREIF AND FORCED S TO MAKE QUICK RUSHED DECISIONS AS A MAJOR CHANGE NEEDED TO BE MADE. ONCE THAT PAINFUL PERIOD PASSED AND WE WENT INTO CONSTRUCTION EVERYTHING WENT REALLY SMOOTHLY AND IMPROVED OUR THOUGHTS OF AVELING. OUR SITE MANAGER _______ WAS EXCELLENT.

We built with Aveling because after comparisons we found it was better value. Our plan came in cheaper and with better inclusions e.g. our Aveling standard inclusion roof was going to be a $3000 upgrade with another builder. Upgrades we did make with Aveling were also cheaper when priced with a competitor. They outlined communication procedures clearly so we knew what to expect. Our construction consultant emailed updates every two weeks and any questions/issues were responded to via email within 24hrs. She was friendly, professional and direct in her communications. Our site manager showed attention to detail ensuring that work was completed to a high standard. We nearly didn’t go through with Aveling after reading some of the negative reviews on here… very glad we did. We got a great value quality home with great service.

We were very pleased with _______ who has since left. He bent over backwards to give us something that was within our budget and what we wanted in terms of plans. _______ our site supervisor was also brilliant who we ended up working with quite closely
