    Again. We are extremely happy with the service provided by our sales man _______. The process after this felt very messy. We were assigned a pre-start lady that was ‘leaving’ and we felt she tried to rush a lot of our decisions and gave no guidance which we wanted as this was our first home. We then had many issues with our tile selection which I am not sure if this stemmed from the tile company or the construction consultant. This issue also took far too long to be rectified and I had to chase up for it to be done. We are aware that there will always be some issues with the build as not every trade is perfect but felt some of the trades were just a bit lazy which caused these issues. When doing our pre-handover we would have hoped our Site Manager would be a perfectionist but we felt he glossed over these items to ‘have the house done, tick off the list’. Finally after meeting the stand in supervisor today, he was approachable and nice to deal with. We feel good that these items are going to be rectified and haven’t been forgotten or passed along, but I can’t judge much further until then.

    Very friendly and professional service from the sales rep _______ to _______ our site manager and _______ the construction consultant. House was built to a high standard and very minor issues were addressed quickly and efficiently. Definitely would recommend Aveling Homes to all of our contacts. Thanks for our new home!

    Time from sign up till the start of construction was far too long. Paper work took twice as long as the actual house was to be built. Extremely disappointed with the verandah debacle. Believe the costs to fix the verandah were ridiculous as we watched what was done we didn’t think the price charged was appropriate. We do understand that we should have checked the plans before signing but also expected the drafting person would have some common sense and have pointed this out. I mentioned the gable /verandah several times with _______ & _______ and they assured me it was correct. A picture was given to both of what we wanted which clearly showed the large verandah.

    Overall the finished product is acceptable. _______ has done a great job with the time and quality of the build. The appalling customer service on _______’s behalf is a real let down. The cabinets are still unacceptable. Finally on comparison of the specification with other builders Aveling does not provide the level of standard products to be expected form a builder of this level.

    We are very happy with the overall experience with Aveling Homes and their staff, however I would suggest that maybe you look at changing some off your contractors, as that seems to be where you are being let down in the building experience. I have yet to experience the after Handover service with any issues we may have after moving in, but I do hope the good service continues.
